Driving Change: Join the Fight to Protect Africa's Elephants from Extinction

Imagine a world without elephants. A world devoid of their majestic presence, their gentle intelligence, and their profound connection to the earth. Sadly, this is a reality we face today. Poaching, habitat destruction, and humans exploiting them for entertainment are pushing these magnificent creatures to the brink and endangering their overall well-being and survival.

Philanthropist Oracle Maureen and her Angels Among Us Foundation, in partnership with Over and Above Africa, are committed to our shared responsibility to protect and preserve these magnificent gentle giants.

Join us for an extraordinary day of golf at Pelican Hill Golf Club that powers elephant conservation and habitat protection. This exclusive golf experience includes breathtaking ocean views, contests with cash and travel prizes, and top shelf food and beverage. Celebrating over 25 years of majestic California sunsets, unforgettable rounds, and unmatched service, Pelican Hill is described as “some of the most spectacular in golf.”  Your play on the course drives real change, creating lasting sanctuaries and funding vital preservation efforts across Africa's majestic savannas.🏌️

The Cause

It is heartbreaking that elephants, some of the most intelligent and emotionally complex creatures on Earth, are often subjected to cruel treatment in the entertainment industry. These majestic animals are forced to endure harsh training methods, confinement, and unnatural conditions to perform for human amusement. From circuses to tourist attractions, elephants are often beaten, starved, or restrained to make them submissive, stripping them of their dignity and freedom. This abuse leaves not only physical scars but also deep psychological trauma, robbing them of the rich social lives they would naturally enjoy in the wild.

On top of the cruelty in captivity, elephants face a grave threat in the wild: poaching. These magnificent animals are being hunted for their ivory, driving them to the brink of extinction. Despite international bans on ivory trade, poaching continues, fueled by demand and organized crime. This senseless killing not only endangers the species but also disrupts entire ecosystems, as elephants play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of their habitats. Without urgent action to stop poaching and protect elephants, future generations may never experience these incredible creatures in the wild.

This tournament benefits Over & Above Africa, a 501(c)(3) organization that combines traditional wildlife conservation with community sustainability efforts. By funding local leaders and projects, it builds strong partnerships that protect vulnerable species while supporting nearby communities. Their approach promotes economic growth, education, and awareness, emphasizing collaboration to unite stakeholders in wildlife preservation.
